It is a long time since I saw the Mon-cany, part II. I have not got a copy yet: the fact is, the thing had to remain so long in Ms. because our friends the Jaele League would not print it as I would not allow them to rendit it! I had to wait until the Dish Book Co. were in a position to take up the work of printing it. Is it not a comical thing that the Dublin Jaele League would not allow me to be the best judge of my own work!
As far as I remember the book covers the whole ground of the Dish Verb. The new gearman of the Shurten Brothers made a mess of the Verb. But they are soon bringing out a fresh edition which, they tell me, will give the Autonomous Verb carefully. In every other way their gearman is far the best that has appeared, although there are a few unessential things in it which are not quite satisfactory.
I have no idea now of what number of the Leader my first attitude on the Autonomous Verb appeared.
The third part of Mon-cany is most useful. I don't remember in what number of St. Patrick's it commenced. The best place for you to get all such information is from the "Dish Book Company 35. Upper Cornull street, Dublin." In fact it is that little company that are now doing everything for me. They carry out my instructions exactly as I wish. Hence I give no work to any one else in Dublin.
Don't have the slightest heritage in asking me questions. I will answer them if I can. If I cannot I will just tell you so

I am delighted! The people of Cork will now find out that there are other places in the world where a Kerr can be held. I hope killarring will beat them. It all events there will be established a most healthy spirit of rivalry. The people of Cork would actually let a few earnest men work themselves to death and then
pay the cost of their own privates.
It was miserable. A few of the rich men of Cork could easily have made their £60 or £70 a people would have been in some heart to do work and get Cork takes all the credit of the Munster Tris to itself. It is a clear
case of "Sie vos non vobis."
I used to be mad when I used to see the citizens of Cork profiting by the Kerr and contributing next to nothing to the cost of the Kerr.
It would be a very good thing if some of the Cork workers would make up their minds to take notes during the coming
year of how the people of killing will act and contrast their action with that of the people of Cork. I'd like to take some of the stead out of Cork —

Very good. I hope we shall have a good talk often tomorrow.
I have already written to Mr Boland to tell him that there is no possibility of my going to London. It is out of the question.
I am enclosing the payer. How I do delest the note of presumption which often pervades English payers! "Look favourably upon my works and, as is but just," ec. ec.
Look at the impudent tone of equality of dealing the man assumes towards the Blessed Virgin!!! Could not the man have asked what he wanted without going and setting such a mighty
value on the miserable return he was going to make! "as is but just" as virginy! Well! Well! English payers are full of that stuff. I have never seen any of it in an Ink page, nor heard it. Of course I have not reproduced it here. The English mind does not seem to know how to conduct itself even in the presence of the Divinity. I have often read English payers which actually palmonise God. The patronising mistunt is in graved both in the people and in their language so that it shows itself even in the payers. Look. "... and on they saved promises, to which there art always faithful"!!! The man actually compliments God on this being faithful to his promises.

Every time I read that Act of hope I experience a revulsion of feeling which is very useless.

The sermons are going on splendidly. There are twentyfive of them done and you are the cause of it! Never fear when they come out in book form you will have something to do.
