Rome: A ten-feet high statue of the Reverend Stephen Eckert, the Capuchin monk who died in Milwaukee in 1923, has been completed by Assen Peikov, the Rome sculptor, under the careful supervision of the Capuchin Order headquarters here. The statue was commissioned by the St. Benedict Mission for Coloured People in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where the Reverend Eckert - who will probably be 25 years of his life in working for the welfare of coloured folk. PHOTO SHOWS: Assen Peikov puts the finishing touches to the clay model of the statue of the Rev. Stephen Eckert. Father Silvestro of the Rome Capuchin Order is showing the model to another monk.
