FORMER DAIL DEPUTY DIES Mr. Peter Paul Galligan, Hillside Drive, Churchtown, Dublin, who has died, aged 77, was elected a Sinn Fein Deputy in 1918, and was also a member of the First Dail. Mr. Galligan, a native of Cavan, went to Dublin in 1907 and five years later he joined the I.R.B. and afterwards the Irish Volunteers. He took part in the Howth gun running and was on the staff of Comdt. Thomas MacDonagh, Director of Training of the Volunteers. During the 1916 Rising he was in charge of the Volunteers in Ferns, Co.
