Dear Father Cathill, Do day we understand you will have completed a half century in the service of God. We desire in the simplest form and manner possible, on behalf of the Catholic Revidents in Sundays well and the vicinity, where you have laboured for so many years, to tender to you their congratulations. We know too well that you do not seek the smallest recognition, or words of praise, for your faithful stewardship, preferring to look for a more lasting recognition than any of us here could bestow upon you. We also know that it is not in keeping with the fundamental rules or traditions of the Vincentian Order to look for any recompense or praise for the good works or meritorious acts that they, or any member of their Order, carry out in the performance of what they consider to be their duties to their Catholic brethren, and for the welfare of the community at large.
