The first fortnight I devoted to the preliminary arrangements, n.s. getting Custom clicks, Skeleton, specimens, etc. in order, making arrangements at the different schools and working for opining public meeting. This public meeting took place at Carraroe on Feb. 16th o'clock. It was largely attended and represented all classes in Connemara. It was addressed by the different privileges, by the district Committee and by the teachers. I explained to the gathering the Ispech of the meeting, the way the money was gone for the Campaign, and outlined the course of work in the different centres. Monday Feb. 17th, I started the lectures of Turem National School and continued there for the week. Large crowds attended and showed the greatest interest. I paid special attention to the children and young people. The following week Feb from Feb. 24th, Lectured at Carraroe schools where there is a large Central hall. This was overcrowded every night, people coming distances of six miles and in the most inclinement weather. The next week beginning March 2nd I did not lecture owing to urgent private business.",
