The priest in question refused to take the would-be new parish. The attempt however shows how necessary it is for us to have in writing the boundaries of our parish. Leona, Anlauf and Drain, and the territory between have always been looked after by us. Mass is said in Drain one Sunday a month as you know by one of us. Yet the attempt was made by the powers that be to deprive us of all this territory. There are not many Catholics there at present but the time may come when things would be different, therefore if we are going to hold anything here, let us determine to hold all that is ours by right of service. The present plans of the Archbishop are these if I mistake not - to get as many secular pastors planted anywhere in the Archdiocese, so that he may succeed in having the Archdiocese divided: one half to be formed into another Suffragan. Diocese, or perhaps to succeed in getting a Coadjutor.
